Workplace Conflict Resolution through Emotional Intelligence

Effective conflict resolution skills are critical for a healthy workplace environment

since they save time, money, and relationships while also reducing employee

distraction from their task. The value of workplace dispute resolution should never

be underestimated. Conflict management may aid in the development of innovative

solutions to internal relationship problems, as well as the prevention of settings

that foster negativity, stress, demotivation, and overall employee unrest.

Labor is necessary for human survival, and each individual must be accountable

for his or her work and the organization. Organizations in today's work culture are

putting a lot of effort into building closer relationships between management and

employees in order to eliminate differences in opinion, ideas, and participation in

decision-making, and, most critically, to prevent workplace conflicts.

At organizational setups where people earn their living, a broader vision of such

direct human relations for mutual considerations is experienced. Mutual

considerations among employees who work for the same company can both

benefit them and lead to disputes. Conflicts can emerge for a variety of reasons,

including a person's perspective, understanding, emotions, attitude, conduct,

values, and beliefs.

The emotional ability of individuals is assessed in this study in order to reduce or

manage conflict in the workplace. Emotional intelligence refers to a person's

capacity to successfully recognize and control his or her own emotions as well as

the emotions of others. Emotions have a key part in conflict resolution because

disagreements are emotionally charged. Emotions influence how an individual

conceptualizes a dispute, his or her decision-making capacity in conflicts, the

choices taken, and the conduct used to carry out those choices. In this article, a link

between emotions and conflict is investigated, as well as a link between emotional

intelligence and conflict management.

The role of an individual's emotional state of mind would be discussed as a

significant problem responsible for conflict formation and approaches. The goal of

this research is to look into the connections between emotions and dispute

resolution in the workplace.
